Virus surveillance in wastewater from SLU-SEEC

Page Navigation

The data presented in this dashboard originate from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and the Swedish Environmental Epidemiology Centre (SEEC). The monitoring includes detection and quantification of generic material from influenza A virus, influenza B virus, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and SARS CoV-2 in untreated wastewater. We thank all participating wastewater treatment plants for their invaluable efforts in collecting samples and associated data. For more information kindly visit the methodology tab.

Quantitative overview

The figure shows measured virus levels in wastewater from 2024 and onwards. Each dot represents the population-weighted weekly mean across the selected plants. The lines show rolling averages, also weighted by the population served by each plant. You can select the years, months, time-series window (for rolling average) and wastewater treatment plants from the below filter section.
